Yashili NZ Launches Fundraising for Heart Kids through Concert Tickets Sales

09 June 2016

Yashili New Zealand Dairy Company together with Chinese master pianist Lang Lang today announced a fundraising campaign for Heart Kids to support children living with congenital heart conditions.

As the event sponsor of Lang Lang’s 2016 Auckland Piano Recital at the Civic Theatre on 12 June, Yashili New Zealand donated one hundred Ruby-seated concert tickets to Heart Kids as a fundraiser.

Normally retailing for $299, the charity tickets are priced at $250 and are available at http://new.grabone.co.nz/events/music-concert/p/lang-lang-concert-1

All the sales profits will go to Heart Kids, which supports the one in 100 kiwi babies born with a heart defect each week. The campaign hopes to raise $25,000 for the charity.

Yashili NZ General Manager William Zhao says it is a privilege to be able to help New Zealand babies who suffer from heart defects and the involvement of world-renowned pianist Lang Lang from China made the company’s contribution to child health even more special.

“I can’t think of more important work than helping to make a difference to the survival of children,” says William. “I am confident that this is the start of a meaningful and beneficial relationship between Yashili NZ and the champions of children at Heart Kids.”

Rob Lutter, CEO of Heart Kids said: “We are grateful to Yashili for supporting our work with their generous donations to Heart Kids, which will help us to continue providing practical and emotional support to the 12 babies born with a heart defect every week in New Zealand. We look forward to working with the Yashili team more closely to further raise awareness and funds for our Born Fighters.”

Lang Lang, as the United Nations Messenger of Peace and Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), said he is very pleased to see that Yashili makes great efforts to ensure every child has the best start in life, especially for those kids living with childhood heart conditions.

“I am happy my concert tickets sales help raise funds for Heart Kids, and I look forward to hearing continued good news coming from Yashili and HeartKids’ future partnerships.”
